Whitebeam Mountain Ash, Rowan
Sorbus hupehensis Pink Pagoda

Striking small strong growing tree, a close relative of our British native rowan with blue-green foliage that turns to vibrant red and purple in autumn. Large heads of creamy white flowers in spring are followed by big open bunches of long-lasting pink berries, much loved by birds.

Rootstock: colt (semi-dwarf)

Size after 10 years:
approximately 5m (16ft) tall by 4m (13ft) across

Mountain Ash need a sunny site to grow well. They will thrive in most soils but can be short-lived on thin chalky soils.
