Whitebeam Mountain Ash, Rowan
Sorbus Joseph Rock

Striking small tree, a close relative of our British native with finely formed foliage that turns to vibrant red and purple in autumn. Large heads of creamy white flowers in spring are followed by heavy bunches of brilliant yellow berries, much loved by birds.

Size after 10 years:
approximately 5m (16ft) tall by 4m (13ft) across

Mountain Ash need a sunny site to grow well. They will thrive in most soils but can be short-lived on thin chalky soils.
