Whitebeam Mountain Ash, Rowan
Sorbus discolor

A beautiful small upright tree, closely related to our British native rowan, renowned for its stunning autumn colours. The heavy clusters of bright orange-red berries make excellent food for hungry birds and are closely followed by the purple red and orange of its fiery autumn foliage.

Size after 10 years:
approximately 5m (16ft) tall by 4m (13ft) across

Mountain Ash need a sunny site to grow well. They will thrive in most soils but can be short-lived on thin chalky soils.
