Whitebeam Mountain Ash, Rowan
Sorbus aucuparia Beissneri

Beautiful compact upright-growing form of our British native rowan with yellow-green fern-like leaves and bright red shoots. Renowned for its stunning autumn colours and heavy clusters of bright orange-red berries that make excellent food for hungry birds.

Size after 10 years:
approximately 5m (16ft) tall by 4m (13ft) across

Mountain Ash need a sunny site to grow well. They will thrive in most soils but can be short-lived on thin chalky soils.
