Flowering Cherry
Prunus Shirofugen

A beautiful vigorous tree with wide spreading branches. A breathtaking sight in spring when smothered with fragrant double blossom: pink in bud, opening white then fading to purplish-pink. One of the loveliest of the Japanese Cherries with rich autumn foliage colours.

Rootstock: colt (semi-dwarf)

Size after 10 years:
approximately 5m (16ft) tall by 4m (13ft) across

All our flowering cherry trees are grown on a virus free stock and are ideal for the average garden.

Flowering cherries need a sunny site to grow well, avoid waterlogged or thin chalk soils.
