Malus moerlandsii Profusion Improved

A very attractive crab apple grown for its stunning blossom, deep crimson in bud opening to rich purplish red, a mass of colour when in full bloom. Foliage is bronze-purple in summer, fruits in autumn are dark red, small and numerous. A delightful tree for the smaller garden.

Size after 10 years:
approximately 2m (6ft) tall by 1.2m (4ft) across

Pollination: This variety is pollinated easily.

Crab-apples need a sunny site and neutral soil to perform well, a pH of 6.5 - 7.5 is ideal.
